Lifeguard (Multiple Positions Available)

• Lifeguarding certification required
• Serve as Lifeguard during Kigoos swim practices, verifying proper pool conditions
and ensuring swimmer safety
• Shifts daily in morning, afternoon, and evening, Monday to Saturday, up to 13-15
hours/week.
*Lifeguarding certification means Life Saving Society National Lifeguard Service Award including current
C.P.R. Basic Rescuer Certification

Notice of Kigoos Annual General Meeting

Wednesday, November 15, 2023
Steveston Community Centre – Phoenix Room
7:00pm

All active Kigoos families from Summer 2023 are current members of the society. Each family has one vote at the AGM. Our Bylaws require that 10% of our membership attend the AGM to meet quorum. Please come and contribute to our club!

The Board would like to sincerely thank Nicole Spata, Kate Wighton, and Robin Appel for their significant contributions to the swim club. These Directors will not be seeking re-election. Thank you for all that you have done for the Kigoos!

We are seeking new directors for our Board. Members can be nominated in advance of the AGM by emailing secretary@kigoos.com. Members can also be nominated, or self-nominate, at the AGM on November 15.

Colin Crasto (one year left of 2-year term)
Rosalind Poon (one year left of 2-year term)
Paul Ursich (one year left of 2-year term)
Braunwyn Thompson (one year left of 2-year term)

There will be two motions to be voted upon regarding composition of the Board.

1. Motion to approve Lesley Rey as a nominee for a third consecutive term on the Board of Directors.
2. Motion to allow both Braunwyn and Neil Thompson to serve on the Board of Directors, subject to successful election, with the stipulation that they will only have one vote on all motions/resolutions.
