Juniors - Weekly Email 4

Hey Junior Families!

I hope all is well. Breaststroke week was a great success with plenty of improvement and great effort from the group. I hope the Juniors are getting as excited as me for the Ice Breaker meet! Remember that there will be no practices held tomorrow the 22nd. Also, note that the June schedule has been sent out and is attached to this email.

Weekly Focus
This week the Juniors will be focusing on Butterfly, working on strong dolphin kicks and a steady body position. Butterfly poses as one of the more tiring strokes but to counter that we’ll be establishing a strong foundation by doing a lot of dolphin kick during practices. We will also be continuing with dives as well as going over touch turns this week!

Equipment Needed
As meets are coming quickly, goggles and swim caps are now mandatory to ensure that all swimmers are used to wearing them and to prevent discomfort at meets. I encourage the Juniors to continue to bring water bottles since it’s getting hotter out, snacks for after practices, and sunscreen.
