REGISTRATION for Summer 2020 is NOW CLOSED

Posted by Kigoos Swim Club on Jul 05 2020 at 05:37PM PDT

The Richmond Kigoos are ecstatic to announce our 2020 Summer in the Pool Season is ready to start!

Our Board of Directors have consulted with the BCSSA, BC Lifesaving Society, WorkSafe BC, Swim Canada, and Via Sport, as we drafted our Return to Swim Plan. The safety of our swimmers and coaches is our utmost priority during these unprecedented times. The City of Richmond approved our plan last week and we will be able to start our summer season at Steveston Outdoor Pool. Attached to this email is our complete Return to Swim plan which can also be found on our website. It is mandatory for parents to read our Return to Swim plan and be aware of the Health and Safety content.

We are thrilled to welcome back Coach Emmy as our head coach for this season! Our modified summer season will be similar to our Tsunami maintenance program at the cost of $275 per swimmer (includes BCSSA insurance fee and Kigoos swim cap & T-shirt). Practices will focus on technical improvement, endurance training, and having fun in the pool!

At this time registration for our summer season which will begin today. Please click on the REGISTRATION link on our website. Our season begins July 13th and ends on August 30th. We believe our Steveston Outdoor Pool provides the ideal environment for social distancing, while allowing children in our community to benefit from some much-needed physical activity. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions we will not be able to offer a Junior Development or Tater Tot program. All swimmers must be able to STRONGLY swim 25 meters unaided. If you are unsure if this program is suited to your swimmer, please feel free to contact Coach Emmy (headcoach@kigoos.com). As registrations will be limited per swim group, your registration may not guarantee you a swimming group.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

In order for the club and coaches to properly plan for this season, we will be offering a discounted price of $275 for all registrations that are completed before July 9th, 2020. All registrations completed after July 9th will cost $330. Priority will be given to CURRENT Kigoos families. After July 9th, we will open registration to new families and Masters swimmers.
